You're bound to have lots of questions so here are some we've anticipated....

What price are your lodges?

Our prices vary according to model and plot position but start at around £85,000. If there's a particular lodge you like please just contact us for a quote.

What facilities are available on the park?

The joy of Franchis and what makes it special is that it’s a quiet, rural park where you can really get away from it all. 

This is our first year of no longer running camping and touring here too so we expect it to be even quieter from now on.

Set in 16 acres of fields and woodland with a stream running along our boundary wildlife abounds and, with minimal park lighting, our night skies are fabulous. 

We do have a small launderette, a popular little library and lots of leaflets for you to plan your days out .

Is the park dog friendly?

We allow up to 2 dogs but do ask that they're kept on a lead and only walked in our exercise field at the front of the park.

What are the annual costs after purchasing a holiday home?

The annual pitch fee is currently £2400 for lodges up to 14' wide on 'The Meadow' (including any relevant taxes) 

Gas and electricity are billed quarterly as used

We’re lucky enough to have our own private water supply here so that’s just £150 (inc VAT) per year.

Insurance is through your own choice of provider

How long can my holiday home stay at Franchis?

We offer a standard Licence Agreement of 25 years but this can be extended up to a maximum of 30 years for an additional cost at the time of purchase. 

When can I use my holiday home?

You can enjoy holidays here any time you like during 11 months of the year, with February being the only month the park completely closes.

What models are available?

We offer a large range of models by Swift, Willerby, ABI, Atlas and Pemberton. Simply visit their websites and contact us for a price.

How quickly can we move in?

We currently have just 4 vacant pitches remaining for your choice of lodge - as long as it comes in the wood look (Sierra Canexel) then we can quote for it.

We're unfortunately not expecting any new lodges to be ready before this winter but if there's a particular lodge you like just let us know and we can provide you with more detail.

Can I live in my holiday home?

No - all holiday homes here are for holiday and recreational use only so you can stay while you are on holiday but you must live somewhere else. We will need you to provide the address of your main residence, which must be your home. We will also require proof of your residential address by way of suitable documentation e.g. recent utility bills, current council tax bill, and driving licence or similar. 

Can I sublet my holiday home?

We do not allow commercial subletting, although close family are welcome to stay at your holiday home.

Do you have wi-fi on the park?

We have wi-fi throughout the park supplied by Club Wi-Fi. The current price for 2 devices for a year is £100.

What rights and obligations are there?

Franchis is a member of the BH&HPA (a trade association which ensures we reach a high standard) as well as the NHHPA so all our holiday home owners have a formal, written Licence Agreement as recommended by them. The Licence Agreement sets out the obligations of both the holiday home owner and the park owner and includes the park rules. Please ask for a sample copy if you would like more details.
